wet is the title of the new exhibition by the artistic duo -ness (Rooy Charlie Lana and Giulia Zulian).
Between installations and performances, the duo turns their research toward the first visible and invisible traces of sexual desire through the identity Transghost (Transghost Manifesto).
wet reasons about the biopolitical and poetic meanings of the secretion and management of bodily fluids, focusing on the initial phase of production of sexual humors.
With an adult gaze, we return to the dormitory of adolescence: a place of memories, secrets and ghosts; a place of discovery of the body to desire, sexual pleasure, arousal, and pornography. We return above and below the nets of a single bed that has been (and perhaps forever will be) a refuge of dreams, monsters, vices, porn images, poetry and virtue.

In this concealed space of desire, Transghost questions the cultural limits as well as the visual codes that establish the normality or pathology of a body or practice.
-ness thus draws attention to how the secretion and production of bodily fluids is not a private affair, but one of public interest as it is regulated by political, cultural, and medical instances for commercial purposes. Saliva, tears, sweat, uterine secretions, and sperm flows (etc..) are instead produced by Transghost as a unit of fluid that measures expressed or unexpressed emotional states in relation to sexuality or its spectacular representation, i.e., pornography.
