Blueprints: un workshop, una poesia collettiva, una mostra.
AARDUORK è felice di ospitare la mostra BLUEPRINTS, uno spazio per immaginare la politica, il come veniamo governati, e la nostra partecipazione alla rappresentanza. Alessio Mazzaro, artista e ricercatore, si è ritagliato il ruolo di catalizzatore di un pensiero critico alimentato dal desiderio di promuovere la complessità, con la sua opacità, come scelta politica.
Attraversando le due stanze che compongono la mostra, non si può che fermarsi a contemplare lo spazio scenico costruito da installazioni, parole, immagini, voci e testi che ci invitano a partecipare o forse semplicemente a distenderci in ascolto. Siamo come su un palco di teatro in cui diventiamo performer e testimoni. Ci troviamo immersi in una coreografia espansa, dove elementi e corpi sono posizionati nello spazio per indurre una dinamica ed una estetica precisa. Scardinare il racconto quotidiano della scena politica richiede però di centrare il pensiero sul valore che diamo alla rappresentanza politica, alla possibilità di partecipare alla società, alla nostra volontà di cambiamento.
“La mostra è una serie di nodi che per me vengono al pettine, elementi che ritornano su cui volevo riflettere attraverso la pratica e condividendoli con altri. Le poche gocce che escono da un processo di distillazione e percolazione orbitano attorno alla questione dei desideri e della presa di parola.”
Infine, BLUEPRINTS è anche costituita da tutte le prove, eventi ed azioni fatte e non presentate, che come una infinita serie di scambi di testimone hanno costituito un processo di discussione tra artista e AARDUORK tra i più intensi e proficui, per cui sentiamo di dover ringraziare di averne potuto fare parte.

Alessio Mazzaro
Artista, ingegnere e performer cresciuto vicino alla Riviera del Brenta, Alessio Mazzaro (1985) utilizza la sua pratica come laboratorio per indagare la nostra capacità di agire sulla realtà che viviamo e come possiamo raccontarla insieme.
Componendo e sperimentando relazioni tra elementi visivi, sonori e testuali,
e proponendo sessioni di ascolto e allestimenti di spazi per conversazioni, Mazzaro coreografa forme di ospitalità dove esperienze e punti di vista diversi possono coesistere.
Vincitore dell’Italian Council (2021), tra le sue esposizioni recenti Urbanismo Imaginário (Ambasciata del Brasile a Roma, 2023), Campo Aberto (Pivô Pesquisa, São Paulo 2022) e Eruv: quando a rua vira casa! (Casa do Povo, São Paulo, 2022).

Blueprints: a workshop, a collective poem, an exhibition.
AARDUORK is happy to host the exhibition BLUEPRINTS, a space to imagine politics, how we are governed, and our participation in representation. Alessio Mazzaro, artist and researcher, has carved out for himself the role of catalyst for critical thinking fuelled by the desire to promote complexity, with its opacity, as a political choice.
Passing through the two rooms that make up the exhibition, one cannot help but stop and contemplate the scenic space constructed by installations, words, images, voices and texts that invite us to participate or perhaps simply to relax and listen. We are like on a theatre stage where we become performers and witnesses. We are immersed in an expanded choreography, where elements and bodies are positioned in space to induce a precise dynamic and aesthetic. Unhinging the everyday narrative of the political stage, however, requires us to focus our thoughts on the value we place on political representation, on the possibility of participating in society, on our desire for change.
"The exhibition is a series of chickens that for me come home to roost, returning elements that I wanted to reflect on through practice and by sharing them with others. The few drops that come out of a process of distillation and percolation orbit around the question of desires and taking the floor."
Finally, BLUEPRINTS is also made up of all the rehearsals, events and actions done and not presented, which as an endless series of exchanges of witnesses have constituted one of the most intense and fruitful discussion processes between artist and AARDUORK, for which we feel we have to thank them for being able to be part of.
Alessio Mazzaro
Artist, engineer and performer who grew up near the Riviera del Brenta, Alessio Mazzaro (1985) uses his practice as a laboratory for investigating our ability to act on the reality we experience and how we can narrate it together.
He composing and experimenting with relationships between visual, sound and textual elements, and proposing listening sessions and setting up spaces for conversations, Mazzaro choreographs forms of hospitality where different experiences and points of view can coexist.
Winner of the Italian Council (2021), his recent exhibitions include Urbanismo Imaginário (Brazilian Embassy in Rome, 2023), Campo Aberto (Pivô Pesquisa, São Paulo 2022) and Eruv: quando a rua vira casa! (Casa do Povo, São Paulo, 2022).
